Depression sucks

The last thing that anyone with clinical depression wants to hear is that"everyone gets depressed." That's like saying everyone gets diabetes. It's extremely frustrating to have a Dx that involves an everday common term for the blues, or loss (grief). Depression is not those things. Depression is a physical ailment caused by faulty brain function.
Depression looks like this.
-withdrawel
-inactivity
-tire easily
-excessive sleep
-cannot concentrate
-cry easily
-inability to experience pleasure
-anxiety
-agitation
-low libido
-inability to show affection
-disorganization
-having troble getting dressed
-deep sense of remorse for past decisions when normally does not experience
-no desire for anything
-inability to function
-low energy
-talk little
-stay in bed for long periods
-mind slows down
-apathy
-suicidal ideation
-feel like giving up on life
-boredom
-fear
-aches, headaches, trembling
-senses shut down
-paranoia
-crave sugars
-easily frustrated
-avoids people
-poor eyesight
-clumsy
-swollen thyroid
-skin problems
-deep insecurity despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary
-chronic sore shoulders and neck

These are just a few from the list, I picked the ones that I mostly experience.

Bipolar depression is different than regular clinical depression. In that, it can switch sometimes rapidly into the exact opposite symptoms for no particular reason at all. Bipolar depression also seems to be more severe than regular depression in that appox 10% of all bipolars attempt or commit suicide.

Suicide will be the topic of the next discussion.

Have a great day!!
